Join hundreds (if not thousands) of Minnesotans on October 19 at a Social Security Forum sponsored by the Minneapolis Regional Retiree Council and partners about the future of Social Security and how it can be improved for the long-term benefit of all.
The keynote speaker, Nancy Altman, President of Social Security Works, author of several noted books on Social Security (The Truth About Social Security , Social Security Works! Why Social Security Isn’t Going Broke ) served as an educator at Harvard University. She is a Congressional expert on Social Security and served on Federal Commissions on Social Security improvements. The primary location for the forum is at the Teamsters 120 Hall in Blaine, MN., 9422 Ulysses Street NE, Suite 120, Blaine, Minnesota 55434. The program will start at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 19. The event will be livestreamed throughout Minnesota with the assistance of the University of Minnesota Labor Education Service. In addition to Ms. Altman’s remarks, there will be an opportunity for questions and answers with the speaker and panelists.
