It’s Labor Day, the unofficial kickoff of election season. For the next 57 days, union members will be calling union members to talk about how critical it will be to create a better and more just state and nation by voting for Joe Biden and all our Labor-endorsed candidates up and down the ballot.
In addition to a significant shift towards phoning and texting, COVID-19 also means we should do our part to reduce the lines on November 3 by exercising our voting power early by mail. In their calls and texts, Labor 2020 volunteers are providing information about how to request an absentee ballot.
Minnesotans can register to vote and request an absentee ballot all on the same application. You can fill out the application online, download the absentee ballot application and mail it in, or call the Secretary of State’s office at 651-215-1440 or 1-877-600-VOTE (8683) to have the application mailed to you.
It is vital to make sure we use our power in numbers to vote early. Join your fellow union members, be a voter, and sign up to volunteer for Labor 2020.
