With Representative Tom Emmer’s concession in the Governor’s race, it is now certain that AFL-CIO-endorsed Mark Dayton will become Governor on January 3rd.  Minnesota AFL-CIO President Shar Knutson issued the following statement:

“Labor’s goal in the 2010 election was to elect a Governor who shares middle class families’ values and priorities.

Minnesota’s union members knocked on more than 200,000 doors and made more than a half million phone calls because we know Mark Dayton will be a Governor who stands up for middle class families.

Going forward, Minnesota’s working men and women stand ready to help Governor-elect Dayton create family-sustaining jobs, turn our economy around, and solve the state’s revenue shortfall fairly.”
