Tornado Relief: Help North Minneapolis Recover

On Sunday, we were all shocked by the destruction a tornado caused to North Minneapolis. The Minnesota Helps-North Minneapolis Recovery Fund is raising funds and will match up to $200,000 in donations in a partnership between the Minneapolis Foundation and the United Way. The fund will distribute money to United Way agencies that already work in North Minneapolis to provide both short term and long term assistance to victims of Sunday’s tornadoes.  More details are available on their website.

There is also a website set up with general information for residents affected by the tornado, and people looking for ways to assist.

The Minnesota AFL-CIO is working with unions who have members living in the affected area to verify they have access to the resources they need.
