Over 100,000 people joined in Saturday's rally for Wisconsin workers in Madison on Saturday, despite the cold temperatures and snow. Hundreds of Minnesota supporters rallied in Madison and in Minnesota throughout the week as well. Many of our affiliates are travelling to Madison on a daily basis, by carpool or bus. Check in with your local union to see if these opportunities exist for you.

The week's recap: 2,000 people filled the MN State Capitol in solidarity with Wisconsin workers in a rally sponsored by the Minnesota AFL-CIO last Tuesday. The crowd heard workers' real stories, chanted, and sang in solidarity. This rally is one of the largest in the books. Our voices shook the walls of The People's House. Over 500 people gathered at Duluth's City Hall last Thursday in a solidarity event as well. The North East Area Labor Council sponsored a brisk rally and heard from firefighters, teachers and public employees on how Governor Walker's proposal stomps on workers' rights. Following the rally, the pumped up crowd took it to the streets.

MoveOn.org and national partners held a rally at our State Capitol last Saturday as well with 1,000 people standing in solidarity with Wisconsin workers.

Solidarity events also took place in River Falls and St. Croix Falls. Stay tuned to our website for further updates on events as they form.
