The Minnesota AFL-CIO, the state federation of more than 1,000 local unions collectively representing more than 300,000 working people, endorsed Sen. Amy Klobuchar for Governor.

“Minnesota is one of the best states for working people, and we need a governor who will keep it that way as workers face new challenges like AI and automation,” said Minnesota AFL-CIO President Bernie Burnham. “Working Minnesotans know and trust Amy Klobuchar because she has been fighting for us from day one. That’s why we are proud to endorse her to be our next governor.”

Every two years, the Minnesota AFL-CIO runs the largest independent political campaign in the state. The Labor 2026 political campaign will educate union members about labor-endorsed candidates through member-to-member door knocks, phone banks, text messages and digital ads.

“Candidates endorsed by the Minnesota AFL-CIO carry support from workers in the public sector, private sector and construction trades,” Burnham added. “Amy Klobuchar has more than earned our unanimous endorsement for governor through her work in the U.S. Senate consistently standing up for working people.”
