Minnesota Young Workers met with AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer Liz Shuler last Wednesday to discuss how to create a young workers' movement in a roundtable discussion. Over 25 members from IBEW, USW, AFSCME, CWA, IAMAW, and OPEIU talked about ways they are engaging young workers, new ideas, challenges facing young workers, and how to encourage young workers to join unions.

The group agreed to meet again and help develop a plan in Minnesota. If you would like to be a part of the discussion and are between the ages of 18-35 and a union member, contact Jessica Hayssen at jhayssen@mnaflcio.org.
