Minnesota AFL-CIO Urges "Yes" Vote on Health Care Reform

March 19, 2010--As the United States House of Representatives stands poised to pass historic health care reform, Minnesota AFL-CIO President Shar Knutson called on Minnesota’s congressional delegation to vote for the legislation.

"Although it isn’t perfect, we’re supporting health care reform because it will benefit all Minnesotans, and it’s the best opportunity we have had in decades to begin fixing America’s broken health care system," Knutson said.

"It will immediately stop the worst greed-driven insurance company abuses—like denying care because of pre-existing conditions and get life-saving health coverage to 30 million more people."
