July 29, 2026
4:00PM - 6:00PM

Location provided upon registration.

The Advocates for Human Rights is the implementing partner for the Governor's Council on Recording the Truth of Operation Metro Surge and Operation PARRIS — known as the Minnesota Truth Council. The MN Truth Council is an independent, non-partisan body creating a historical record of survivor and witness experiences. A report with recommendations for legislative and policy reform will be produced

The Minnesota AFL-CIO is calling on union members to be storytellers and/or story collectors to document local worker experiences during the federal occupation.

This training is designed for trainers for story collectors as a part of AFL-CIO engagement with the MN Truth Council.

We will cover:

- The purpose and scope of the story collection process

- The key steps involved in collecting stories

- Practical guidance on how to engage with story contributors and core principles of trauma-informed and respectful story collection

- Next steps for story collection following the training

Registering for the training will help us prepare for the session, confirm attendance, and share any materials or information participants may need in advance.

Please feel free to reach out to mntruthcouncil@advrights.org if you have any questions or have not received a link to the meeting.
