Anyone who has worked both non-union and union jobs will tell you that it’s clearly better in a union. Better wages, safer working conditions, respect, and more are the immediate benefits. But what does it mean to be a proud Trade Unionist?
At the end of this workshop, you will:
-Know fundamentals of American union history;
-Have a deeper understanding of solidarity and how unions support all workers;
-Be able to articulate their connection to the broader Labor Movement and the AFL-CIO;
-Know how to become active in your union and the Labor Movement; and
-Be able to articulate the importance of the Labor Movement and Collective Bargaining.
