Election for governor a clear choice between Dayton’s continued prosperity or Johnson’s extreme failed policies

Following Tuesday’s primary election, Minnesota AFL-CIO President Shar Knutson issued the following statement:

“This November, the choice for governor will be clear for middle class Minnesotans. With Governor Mark Dayton’s strong leadership, we can keep building on an economy that is working for middle class families; creating more than 150,000 new jobs, a state budget surplus, and new education investments like all-day kindergarten. 

Republican Jeff Johnson, on the other hand, says he’s ready to ‘go all Scott Walker’ on Minnesota. If ‘going all Scott Walker’ means an extreme agenda that puts us dead last in job growth, working Minnesotans won’t be fooled.

Minnesota’s working families are excited and energized to keep building a better Minnesota under Governor Dayton’s leadership.”
