Stop the Shutdown and Protect the Middle Class
Time is almost up.
Republican legislators’ insistence on protecting the richest 2% and passing an all-cuts budget that hurts the middle class is about to lead to a full shutdown of Minnesota’s state government at midnight on July 1st.
GOP legislators are failing and it’s time to stand up and tell them to do their jobs before millions of Minnesotans get a preview of what their all-cuts budget will look like.
There are two opportunities to make your voice heard tomorrow.
Please come to the south Capitol steps at 10:00 AM tomorrow (June 30) to Stand Together to Invest in Minnesota with members of the labor, faith, and non-profit communities.
Later that night at 9:00 PM, bring your flashlight and join AFSCME, MAPE for a vigil on the State Capitol steps on Thursday, June 30 from 9-11 p.m. – the eve of Minnesota’s looming state government shutdown.
