Midwest School for Women Workers a Success
The Midwest School for Women Workers held its opening reception last Wednesday where special guest AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer Liz Shuler spoke. S/T Shuler addressed some of the challenges and opportunities that face all working women. This year's theme of the school was "Taking a stand in tough economic times." Workshops and classes were designed around the theme for women to build skills and capacity. WCCO covered the first day of classes in this story that ran last Thursday.
