GOP Legislative Agenda Pro-Corporate, Anti-Middle Class

Republicans in the Minnesota House and Senate introduced their first series of bills today, showing where they stand. The bills called for significant tax cuts for corporations and laws aimed at undercutting middle class Minnesotans.  Minnesota AFL-CIO President Shar Knutson issued the following statement.

“Republican legislators showed middle class Minnesotans exactly where they stand today.

Their proposals would give big corporations a free ride all while lowering pay and cutting benefits for hard-working middle class families.

Governor Dayton is already working on a jobs and infrastructure bill to help put Minnesotans back to work and a plan to balance the budget fairly.

Republican lawmakers should be following the Governor’s lead in helping build a better Minnesota.”
