It's Time to Deliver Health Insurance Reform round up continues. Duluth and St. Cloud actions were covered in part one of the blog post. Now let's move to the metro, where coalition group Health Care for America Now staged an event at health insurer CIGNA's Twin Cities offices on Tuesday. You can read about it in Workday Minnesota, where there is an article and photos by Steve Share. You can also view a video of the event brought to you by The UpTake.

The Southeast Area Labor Council sponsored a fun event that brought people together with a purpose on Tuesday evening. The theme was "Don't Throw Away Health Care Reform" where union members from UAW, Laborers, SEIU Health Care, IAM, Teamsters, AFSCME-5, Painters, IBEW as well as community members attended.
To the left, you see a bean bag toss with a health care reform theme played into the fun. Organizers kept score as tossers were blindfolded for their turn. To the right, Laura Askelin, President of the SE ALC, helps administer the Health Care Facts Quiz.
The night wasn't only about tossing around ideas about health care reform. As health care reform seems to be within our reach, it is an important time to continue to put the pressure on our elected officials. That's why participants wrote twenty personal letters to Congressman Walz on the need for health care reform with a public option. Laura sums it up best when she told KAAL reporters, "We’re asking our congress, our elected leaders, this is the time, it's time to deliver our health care reform.”
You can watch coverage of the event from KAAL TV here.
